Lucario and Lickilicky's Adventure
Lucario and Lickilicky decide to go on an adventure and end up in all sorts of trouble.
My first ever fanfiction was Lucario and Lickilicky’s Adventure. It was a fanfiction for Pokemon, Pikmin, and other games. I originally started it at an unknown time (I don’t remember the original date and have no way to check, but it was before August 20, 2008).
I ended up starting this story over multiple times for various reasons over the years, and I probably will continue to do so some time in the future because I still have good memories of this
story. Obviously there’s a lot of room for improvement to it and I’m not claiming it’s a masterpiece, but I had fun with it, at least for a while (the later parts of the original version seem
to be me just trying to write something, and they’re much shorter).
The story versions:
- Blue Version - This was the original version of Lucario and Lickilicky’s Adventure. With the version numbering system I devised, it had gotten up to Version 59.
- Yellow Version - Eventually I realized that the first several chapters weren’t written as good as they could have been, so I wanted to re-make them, so I started Yellow Version. It was started on July 5, 2009.
- Green Version - Eventually I wanted to post this fanfiction on Serebiiforums, which I was active on at the time. The older versions both had the chapters as being too short for Serebiiforums’ standards, so I needed to re-make this to fit those standards.
- Red Version - This version was likely made to have a unique version on my forum - Lucario Forum. It was started October 5, 2010 and never made it past the first chapter.
- Silver Version - Silver version was lost at some point, but involved telling the story through Riolu’s perspective instead.
- Gold Version - With Gold version, I decided to make the story into a saga, with all the previous versions technically being canon. It was started on April 10, 2011.
- LeafGreen Version - With LeafGreen version, I gave the characters human names and again framed it as a story within a story (I think). Apparently I had big plans for multiple books now.
- Sapphire Version - For Sapphire version, the goal was to go back to the original story and rewrite it better. It was started January 18, 2013.
- Sapphire 2 Version - On December 9, 2013, I decided to change Sapphire version’s prologue, but didn’t fully consider it a rewrite, so it didn’t get a new version name, and then I didn’t continue past the prologue again either.
